adolphe chanaux

Adolphe Chanaux (1887–1965) was a French cabinetmaker and designer, a key figure in Art Deco.


  1. He is globally recognized for his technical mastery and his ability to transform humble materials into objects of absolute luxury.


  1. His career reached definitive success in the 1930s through his legendary partnership with Jean-Michel Frank. Together, they revolutionized interior design with a "luxury minimalist" style, characterized by pure lines and the bold use of textures such as parchment, interwoven straw, and plaster. Today, his pieces are collector's treasures.


His legacy is preserved in world-renowned institutions such as:
