Designer paolo venini

  1. Paolo Venini was born in 1895.


  1. In 1921, he acquired a stake in a Murano glass company; however, his family had been involved in Italian glassmaking since the 18th century.


  1. By 1925, he established his own company, Venini and C. This marked the beginning of a significant era for Murano glass.


  1. His company used traditional techniques with a modern aesthetic.


  1. He collaborated with numerous prominent designers and artists, including Vittorio Zecchin, Carlo Scarpa, Gio Ponti, and Fulvio Bianconi.


  1. The Venini glassworks became synonymous with high-quality artistic glass.
