The keller house
La Maison Keller was founded in 1857 by Gustave Keller in Paris France at 65, rue de Turbigo. It specialized in luxury goods.
- They gained great notoriety at the universal exhibitions.
- In 1878, his two sons took over the company, adding tableware and various objects to their activities.
- The production was awarded at the universal exhibitions of 1889 and 1900.
- Keller's notoriety was so great that official orders flowed in from the royal courts of Spain, Romania, Greece, Russia, and the Principality of Monaco.
- Tsar Nicholas II of Russia sourced regularly from them.
Many works are present in different prestigious museums such as:
- Les Arts Décoratifs Paris.
- Orsay France.
- The Hermitage Museum in Russia.
In 1891 the Keller House moved its shop and workshop to 22 rue Joubert. The company close its doors around 1947.
